For the third time in a row, Cloudflare has been recognized in the Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Security Service Edge (SSE) report. This evaluation is critical for leaders in the security and networking fields in choosing the right partner for their digital transformation journey. Interestingly, Cloudflare is one of nine vendors recognized in this year’s report.

What is Security Service Edge (SSE)?
SSE is a solution that makes it easy for teams to adopt a Zero Trust architecture. The concept covers several key areas, such as:
- Zero Trust Access Control: Guarantees minimal access to applications that store sensitive data by checking the identity, device status, and other signals on each connection.
- Outbound Filtering: Keep people and devices safe when accessing the internet by filtering network traffic, DNS requests, and HTTP requests.
- Secure SaaS Usage: Scans SaaS application traffic for policy violations, misconfigurations, or inappropriate data handling.
- Data Protection: Ensure data that leaves the organization remains in compliance with policies and manage existing data with proper access controls.
- Employee Experience: Monitor and improve the employee experience when using an app or tool on the internet or within an organization.
How Does Cloudflare Play a Role in SSE?

This programmable network serves more than 330 cities around the world and operates within about 50 milliseconds of 95% of the global internet population.
